Mariam Ramzan is a compassionate and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with several years of experience in both nursing and psychiatry. Over the past four years, she has primarily worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, delivering care to individuals across the lifespan. Her extensive clinical background includes providing mental health services in diverse settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinic, urgent care center, and an emergency department. She has worked with individuals with different gender identities as well.
Mariam is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, individualized, and evidence-based mental health care in a non-judgmental and inclusive environment. She places a strong emphasis on cultural sensitivity and strives to understand and respect each patient’s unique background, beliefs, and experiences. Fluent in English and Punjabi, and limited proficiency in Hindi and Urdu, Mariam effectively bridges language gaps to expand access to care for a broader population. Above all, it is important to Mariam that her patients feel truly heard, respected, and empowered.
With a South Asian heritage, Mariam is especially passionate about supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. She takes a holistic and collaborative approach to care-- emphasizing thorough assessment, accurate diagnosis, and shared decision-making in treatment planning. At Evergreen Psychiatry Group, she fosters a safe space where patients are encouraged to take an active role in their mental wellness journey and develop practical coping strategies to enhance their quality of life.
